“For soft tissue injuries I would recommend between 500 microgram up to 1 mgram TB 500 subcutaneous, intramuscular or intraarticular, once or twice per day, so that's a total dose of 500 micrograms up to 2,000 micrograms daily”

Own use: aggressive daily protocol for his shoulder

Dose
“1 milligram of BBC57 […] 2,000 micrograms of TB500”
How often
“every single day”
How long
“three full months”

“I got with my medical team and we decided to run an aggressive Wolverine protocol. 1 milligram of BBC57 or 1,000 micrograms, 2 milligs or 2,000 micrograms of TB500 every single day. Now, what most people don't know, some practitioners are going to work with higher dosing because they understand the severity of the injury and the nature of how much healing it's going to take. And this was a significant injury of mine. Everyone online is talking about 250 or 400 micrograms. That's maintenance or minor stuff. […] I ran this for three full months”

Loading dose he gives clients (with BPC-157)

Dose
“three to four, four to five milligrams”
How often
“twice per week. Never more than twice per week”

“And you could pair it with TB-500. And you're going to load anywhere between three to four, four to five milligrams twice per week. Never more than twice per week. Daily is a waste of this compound.”

Own use: twice weekly

Dose
“2.5 mg”
How often
“twice per week”

“Now, TB-500 is ran a little bit different. TB-500 is only twice a week. So, I'll run 2.5 mg twice per week.”

Own use: loading then once-weekly maintenance (Sept 2026)

Dose
“about 5 milligrams … about five milligrams”
How often
“twice a week (loading) … once a week (maintenance)”
How long
“loading the first two weeks; maintenance from week three or four up to 12 weeks”

“Now, TB-500 on the other hand doesn't need daily dosing. I run a loading phase for the first two weeks at about 5 milligrams twice a week to saturate your system really quickly. Then I drop to a maintenance phase for at least or I should say a week three or four up to 12 weeks and that's about five milligrams once a week.”

Human evidence

“But again, in the absence of clinical trials, we still don't know if and how they are working in humans. Nonetheless, a lot of people are now starting to take especially TB-500.”

Is it growth-promoting?

“As far as I know, it isn't growth promoting. It doesn't impact the growth hormone pathway or other pathways associated with tissue growth.”

No established human dose

“That means you need to think carefully about dosing frequency and route. A lot of the protocols floating around online are based off of vibes, not pharmarmacology. The third issue is that there is no established human dose for either compound. Everything is extrapolated from animal studies and alometric scaling from rats to humans is an imprecise science at best.”

What the research used

Context, not a dosing guide. TB-500 is a short synthetic fragment. The studies below used the full thymosin β4 protein, so they do not tell you how TB-500 itself behaves. None establishes a safe or effective human dose of TB-500.

Reviews

  • Goldstein et al., 2012, Expert Opin Biol Ther. PubMed 22074294. Review of thymosin β4 biology and clinical development.
What we don’t know yet
  • No published clinical trial of TB-500 itself.
  • Evidence for the full protein (thymosin β4) is mostly animal; the human trials tested IV infusion or eye drops, not injected TB-500.
  • Human pharmacokinetics of the TB-500 fragment are unknown.
  • Grey-market products are unregulated, so identity and purity vary.
Common questions

Is TB-500 the same as thymosin beta-4?

No. TB-500 is a short synthetic fragment based on part of thymosin beta-4. The clinical studies on this page used the full protein, so their results cannot simply be applied to TB-500.

Has TB-500 been tested in human trials?

Not as of October 2026. Thymosin beta-4 has been tested in small human trials (IV infusion, eye drops), but TB-500 itself has not.

Why does the protocol section only contain quotes?

We do not write our own dose ranges. The protocol cards show, word for word, what named people have publicly said, with their caveats and a link to the source.

Is TB-500 allowed in sport?

No. It falls under WADA’s prohibited peptide hormones and related substances.
