Context: From his immune stack. In his anti-aging stack in the same article he gives “5–10mg 1x/day for 10 days, cycle 1–2x/year”. He writes that these are general guidelines and that he is not a doctor.

20 days in a row, three times a year

Dose
“2mg”
How often
“Every day”
How long
“20 days in a row, 3x per year”
How taken
“SubQ injection”
When
“PM”

“Dose: 2mg. Timing: PM. Frequency: Every day. Duration: 20 days in a row, 3x per year. Administration: SubQ injection. […] Jay’s Note: Thymalin and Epitalon are run together as a 20-day longevity cycle — this is exactly how the original Khavinson research was structured. Don’t separate them. Don’t extend the cycle. Twenty days, three times a year, and you’re letting the biology work the way it was designed to.”

Context: The Thymalin card itself lists no product source. Quoted from a protocol card on his website (the field labels Dose, Timing, Frequency, Duration and Administration are his). The protocol pages say every protocol has been “personally tested, refined, and used by Jay Campbell”, and most cards link to a product from BioLongevity Labs, a company he co-founded.

What the research used

Context, not a dosing guide. Most thymalin research comes from Professor Khavinson’s institute in St Petersburg. The long-term study below was not randomised in the modern sense and has not been independently repeated. None of it sets a dose for self-use.

Human studies

StudyStudied inWhat the study usedWhat it found

What we don’t know yet
  • Nearly all studies come from one research group in Russia.
  • Thymalin is easily confused with thymulin and thymosin alpha-1, which are different peptides.
  • Products sold online as research peptides are unregulated, so identity, purity and dose accuracy vary.
Common questions

Is thymalin the same as thymosin alpha-1?

No. Both come from the thymus, but thymosin alpha-1 is a single defined peptide; thymalin is a peptide complex first made as a thymus extract.

Why do the experts give short courses?

Ben Greenfield describes 3–10 day courses repeated every 6–12 months; Jay Campbell describes 20 days in a row, three times a year, alongside epitalon. See their quotes.

Why does the protocol section only contain quotes?

We do not write our own dose ranges. The protocol cards show, word for word, what named people have publicly said, with their caveats and a link to the source.

About this page

Word-for-word statements about how thymalin is used, each with a link to the source. Thymalin is a mix of short peptides first extracted from the thymus gland in Russia; it is discussed for immune support and ageing. The research is listed separately as context.
