How often
“up to three times daily”
How taken
“subcutaneously”

“[…] no drug Affinity complex, that's what Dak stands for. We have a dosages ranging between 150 micrograms to 300 micrograms administered subcutaneously up to three times daily”

CJC-1295 with DAC

Dose
“between 1 milligram to 2 milligram”
How often
“once per week”
How taken
“subcutaneous”

“But if you want less injection frequency I would go with CJC 1295 with the drug Affinity complex, which allows for once per week administrations between 1 milligram to 2 milligram subcutaneous one time weekly”

Dose
not stated
How often
“twice per week or even once per week”

“So, CJC-1295 typically is only taken twice per week or even once per week because its effects on increasing growth hormone and IGF-1 last several days”

CJC-1295 without DAC (stack)

Dose
“100mcg”
How often
“1–3x/day”
How long
“for a 12-week cycle”
How taken
“Subcutaneous injection”
When
“before bedtime on an empty stomach”

“For this stack, you’ll want to use CJC without DAC (drug affinity complex), which is the shorter-acting version that more closely mimics your body’s natural growth hormone pulses. Dosing Guidelines: 100mcg 1–3x/day for a 12-week cycle; OR 10mL of 2000mcg/ml solution 1x/day, 5 nights per week. Administration Route: Subcutaneous injection. Timing Tips: Take CJC-1295 before bedtime on an empty stomach.”

Split morning and bedtime, 5 on / 2 off

Dose
not stated
How often
“five days on, two days off”
How taken
“always subcutaneously not interuscularly”
When
“half … in the morning … half the dose right before bedtime”

“Now you can inject these together always subcutaneously not interuscularly. And the best timing options are typically if you're going to use them both at the same time half that dose in the morning first thing in the morning when you get up half the dose right before bedtime. And the frequency, like I said, five days on, two days off. And the rest strategy, always try to take off two days in a row.”

Dose
“CJC-1295 … 200 to 400 micrograms … ipamorelin about 100 micrograms to 300 micrograms”
How often
“5 days a week”
How taken
“subcutaneous injection”
When
“taken together right before bed”

“The dosing for these peptides CJC-1295 sits at about 200 to 400 micrograms combined with ipamorelin about 100 micrograms to 300 micrograms subcutaneous injection taken together right before bed 5 days a week is the best entry point into GH optimization on it entire list.”

Ballpark his clinic starts with (CJC-1295 + ipamorelin)

Dose
“100 micrograms of CJC 1295 and upwards of 150 to 250 micrograms of Ipamorelin”
How often
“5 days on, 2 days off”

“Many peptide clinics, including ours, use doses in the ballpark of, say, 100 micrograms of CJC 1295 and upwards of 150 to 250 micrograms of Ipamorelin. This can vary based off your goals and your response, but that's the ballpark most people start. You don't boost up the CJC. You have a saturation level of about 100 micrograms of CJC. But, the Ipamorelin, you can go up to probably 250, 300 before you get to that saturation point if you really want to improve the results. Cycling. A common protocol, 5 days on, 2 days off”

Clinical-trial death

“But, keep in mind that CJC-1295 has entered clinical trials. There was a death within one of the clinical trials that was related to cardiovascular dysfunction. It's known to cause some fluid retention and increased fluid volume, which may have been related to that cardiovascular death. We don't know, okay? This is all kind of speculation.”

Why he would not choose it

“And to my mind, given that there are decent alternatives in sermorelin or tesamorelin, I don't know why anyone would specifically select CJC-1295 until all these safety issues have been resolved.”

Combining ipamorelin with CJC-1295

“While I'm not opposed to that approach, you just want to make sure that the dosing, or I should say the relative dosing of each peptide is such that, you know, you're avoiding unnecessary increases in prolactin and cortisol, and that you're not hitting a pathway redundantly.”

Who should be cautious (all GH secretagogues)

“If you're younger than 30, I don't know why you'd want to augment growth hormone unless you and your doctor decide that there's a clinical need or some other urgent need to do so because you're already making a lot of growth hormone. If you're older than 30 and you're interested in using these compounds, to me it stands to reason that of course you want to make sure that you don't have any tumors or cancers that you could potentially exacerbate. But in addition to that, that you really think about using the minimal effective dose and that you use perhaps even the mildest of these different compounds […]”

What the research used

Context, not a dosing guide. These studies used CJC-1295 with DAC in small groups of healthy adults. “CJC-1295 without DAC” (Mod GRF 1-29) is a different molecule with no comparable published trials. None of these studies establishes a safe or effective dose.

What we don’t know yet
  • Only small, short studies in healthy adults have been published.
  • Clinical development was stopped; no long-term safety data exist.
  • No published trials of “CJC-1295 without DAC” (Mod GRF 1-29).
  • Raising growth hormone and IGF-1 is a surrogate marker; long-term outcomes in healthy adults are not established.
  • Growth-hormone/IGF-1 elevation is a theoretical concern for people with existing tumours.
  • Grey-market products are unregulated, so identity, purity and dose accuracy vary.
  • WADA prohibits growth-hormone secretagogues and GHRH analogues for athletes.
Common questions

What is the difference between CJC-1295 with and without DAC?

DAC (drug affinity complex) lets the peptide bind albumin, so it lasts days instead of minutes. “Without DAC” products are usually Mod GRF 1-29, a different, short-acting molecule.

Is CJC-1295 approved?

No. Clinical development was discontinued and it is not approved anywhere.

Why does Huberman mention a death in a trial?

See his quote under Safety & evidence. He stresses that the link to the drug is speculative.

Why does the protocol section only contain quotes?

We do not write our own dose ranges. The protocol cards show what named people have publicly said, with a link to the source.
