Own use: 100 mcg experiment

Dose
“100 micrograms”
How often
“three times per week, then every day”
How long
“two weeks … another two weeks”
Also said
“no changes in LH, FSH or testosterone”

“after two weeks on 100 micrograms kisspeptin 10 three times per week they did not increase […] so I increased to 100 microgram kisspeptin 10 every day, ran that experiment for another two weeks and see if there was any changes, again no changes”

Context: Describing his own blood-work experiment while off steroids. He started from the protocol of “the people that I had a consultation with”. Measured LH, FSH and testosterone did not change. The cut removes his description of the blood panel.

Before bed, 30 days on and off

Dose
“125mcg”
How often
“Every day”
How long
“30 days on, 30 days off”
How taken
“SubQ injection”
When
“1 hour before bed”

“Dose: 125mcg. Timing: 1 hour before bed. Frequency: Every day. Duration: 30 days on, 30 days off. Administration: SubQ injection. […] Jay’s Note: Running it before bed aligns with the body’s natural LH pulse rhythm — and you’ll feel the difference in morning testosterone and libido within the first two weeks.”

Context: The card says “Kisspeptin” without naming the form. Quoted from a protocol card on his website (the field labels Dose, Timing, Frequency, Duration and Administration are his). The protocol pages say every protocol has been “personally tested, refined, and used by Jay Campbell”, and most cards link to a product from BioLongevity Labs, a company he co-founded.

Dosing used in studies

“they administer 20 micrograms every two hours, which, let's be honest, is incredibly cumbersome. I can't remember if that was intervenous, subcutaneous or intramuscularly”

Libido use is a wild card

“the use of kisspeptin to increase vitality and libido is a bit of a um let's just say it's a it's a little bit of a wild card. We don't yet know all the effects of kisspeptin.”

Context: Earlier he notes that synthetic kisspeptin is “prescribed for what's called hypothalamic amenorrhea”. He gives no dose.

What the research used

Context, not a dosing guide. These human studies were short, used intravenous infusions or repeated injections in hospital settings, and measured hormone levels rather than fertility or libido outcomes. They are evidence context, not a guide.

Human studies

StudyStudied inWhat the study usedWhat it found
George et al., 2011, J Clin Endocrinol MetabPubMed 21632807Healthy menKisspeptin-10 IV bolus 0.01–3 µg/kg; infusions of 1.5 or 4 µg/kg/hLH rose, peaking at 1 µg/kg (less at 3 µg/kg); infusion raised LH and testosterone
Dhillo et al., 2005, J Clin Endocrinol MetabPubMed 16174713Healthy menKisspeptin-54 infusion (a longer form)LH, FSH and testosterone rose; half-life about 28 minutes
Jayasena et al., 2009, J Clin Endocrinol MetabPubMed 19820030Women with hypothalamic amenorrhoeaKisspeptin-54 twice-daily subcutaneous injections for 2 weeksStrong LH/FSH response on day 1, much reduced by day 14 (desensitisation)
What we don’t know yet
  • Studies measure short-term hormone levels, not fertility or libido.
  • Repeated dosing can cause desensitisation (Jayasena 2009).
  • Kisspeptin-10 has a very short half-life, which is why studies used infusions.
  • Grey-market products are unregulated, so identity, purity and dose accuracy vary.
Common questions

Did kisspeptin-10 raise hormones in Vigorous Steve’s experiment?

He reports that 100 micrograms three times per week, then daily, did not change his LH, FSH or testosterone. See his quotes.

Is kisspeptin approved for anything?

It is not a marketed medicine in the EU, UK or US. Huberman says synthetic kisspeptin is prescribed for hypothalamic amenorrhoea; see his context note.

Is kisspeptin allowed in sport?

No. WADA prohibits kisspeptin and its agonist analogues in men (S2.2.1).

Why does the protocol section only contain quotes?

We do not write our own dose ranges. The protocol cards show, word for word, what named people have publicly said, with their caveats and a link to the source.
